MK1 Mini Cooper 997
The first Mini Cooper I had. It was a 1962 997 cooper. I swapped it for a Riley Elf from Andrew Orchard. It was fairly knackered when I bought it but we managed a season of motorsport before it eventually gave up. Don Lewis was normally co pilot on these events. He had to hold his foot on the gear lever to keep it in gear. We had a lot of enjoyment with this one. Mine was orange and white.
The second was a white MK2 998. I bought from someone who had crashed it. I had it repaired at Rosehill Garage and the first time I used it I managed to put a TV through the windscreen and got extremely wet driving it home. I don't remember what I did with it after that.
