Inn On The Green (Bude)

We had not decided on a name at the time we took this booking so were billed as The Band..

We had this down as Friday the 24th so we all arrived a day early. Fortunately Bude is not too far away so we all went home and returned on the Saturday.

We played the gig on Saturday and everything went well, in fact better than we expected. Due to a few extended versions we didn't even finish our playlist. By special request we did a version of Proud Mary when Rick, the landlord, and Kevin, manager joined in. A thoroughly good time was had by all.

A few photos can be viewed Here

The Highwayman (Sourton Cross, Nr Okehampton)

This was the first booking we took and as it was Halloween we were billed as the Dreadbones. Keeping in the spirit of things we all wore fancy dress.
On this occasion extra vocals were performed by Tanya(Stuarts stepdaugher) and Riva, her friend who were visiting for the weekend.
We played a 3 hour set (approx) and a thoroughly good time was had by all.

The Crown & Sceptre, Holsworthy

This was the first booking that we were billed as LionStaR and as it was the night before Holsworthy Carnival we did not expect a huge crowd but there was a good turnout and we played from about 9.30 to 12.
The music was well received and led to an invite to play at a rock festival in the summer.

Surreal Saloon, The Phoenix, Exeter

This event featured a round of "Has Devon Got Talent" and included performances by singers, singer songwriters, poets and a comedy act performed by Sam and Dave(We thought they were going to perform Soul music). It was hosted by Belinda of Big Brother fame and
We performed a short set between the first and second round and featured Bruce on digeridoo in the first number. We apparently received an imaginary 10 from the judges of the contest.
Very good performances were given by all the contestants and it was a very entertaining evening. The contest was won by Nemo Jones, a singer songwriter. Some of his songs can be heard on MySpace Nemo Jones
Second place was won by a very entertaining alternative comedy singer songwriter who had us in stitches with his material.
Joint third was shared by singers Double Take (a young sister duo) and ? ,the youngest entrant at 12 years old who all gave very good performances.
